I have often felt that I am exceptionally lucky. Throughout my life, whenever I faced challenges, something or someone would unexpectedly help me turn the situation around. Whenever I found myself lacking resources, help would appear, or I would somehow find a way to gather what I needed. Even during times when negativity seemed to weigh me down, I would somehow find a way to turn things around. It’s as though luck is always on my side.
When I share my optimism with others, many attribute my positive outlook to this “luck.” They often say that I am simply fortunate, but I’ve come to realize that this luck has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It’s not just about external circumstances or fleeting moments of fortune, but a deeper belief that something always works out in the end.
But does that mean I don’t face difficulties? Not at all. I still encounter negative situations, feel hurt, and experience challenges—just like everyone else. I have bad days, and there are times when things don’t go as planned. I still need to work, eat, and sleep. I still earn a modest salary and strive for the small joys that life can offer.
The difference, I believe, lies in how we choose to perceive and respond to life’s ups and downs. I firmly believe that the mind is an incredibly powerful force. If we don’t actively train our minds to stay positive, they can easily fall into patterns of negativity. Our thoughts shape the way we experience life, and keeping the mind positive is essential for navigating both good and bad times.
The key is to recognize that we are all human. We all experience hardships and moments of doubt. However, the ability to maintain a positive mindset—even in the face of adversity—can transform our experiences and ultimately shape a life that feels much luckier than it might otherwise seem.
In a world full of uncertainties, I’ve learned that while we can’t control everything that happens to us, we do have control over how we react. This, to me, is the true essence of luck: not waiting for good things to happen but actively creating the space for positivity to flourish in our lives.
